Dandy Magic stood out as a natural fit for the club from the beginning. She is a four-year-old filly by Dandy Man, a stallion renowned for producing fast, durable horses that thrive in competitive sprint handicaps. Her dam, Magic Mirror, is by Dutch Art, another proven influence for speed. Together, the pedigree points strongly towards the qualities we value most – pace, toughness, and the ability to run consistently throughout a season.

What we particularly like about Dandy Magic is her attitude. She is the sort of horse that turns up and gives an honest performance, something that is incredibly important in a racing club environment where members want to see their horse out regularly and competing well.

We also believe there is further improvement to come. Her style of racing suggests she could show even more on turf as the season progresses, and with a full campaign ahead she has every opportunity to build on what she has already shown.

She is trained by Jim Goldie, whose yard in Ayr has been one of the most respected operations in Scottish racing for many years. Jim has built a reputation for producing tough, competitive horses that run regularly and win races – exactly the profile we wanted for the club.
